I heard about the KICKSTART through the social media. The application process was atraight forward. It was just to summarize my idea, which to me wasn't a big deal. I only made sure the summary was all encompassing. The boot camp was an eye-opener for me. It sensitized me on some things that really matter in business like accounting, pricing , business plan, business proposal, customers, branding and staffing, I had a plan prior to my aaplication but after the boot camp, I had to make realistic adjustments to make my business plan a bankable one. I was awarded N800,000 and the mentoring was very good. I thank International Breweries for the learning opportunity provided by KICKSTART. With the award, I have been able to move my business from my room to a rented space owing to expansion. There has been a tremendous impact in my community where we train people on different skills with the aim of building a prosperoys and productive nation. I currently facilitate in Daystar Skill Acquisition Program (DSAP) where I train people on Footwear Making with an average of 50 people in a class per diet. Every year, we run about 3 (three) diets. I also train secondary school pupils who are done with their WAEC examinations on footwear making.

Adire, tie and die fabric production
I am a graduate of Fine and Applied Arts (Textile Major) of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State. I am the CEO Zimo Integrated Textile, Awka, Anambra State. I have a workforce of seven full staff, four industrial trainees and five part-time staff. I got to know of KICKSTART online. I immediately aspired to participate to project my dream and vision as an entrepreneur. The training really changed my business thinking in terms of the managerial skill in handling one's business. Even if I had not been shortlisted, the training acquired from the 5-dayy bootcamp would have been good for my business plan. The one-year mentoship prgramme was a huge success to my business in the areas of human resource management, financial arrangement and marketing as well as business expansion. KCIKSTART was God-sent to me and my community, because I wonder how my business and community would have looked without the assistance I recieved. With the fund from Kickstart, I was able to start up my textile business as well as start up a community service program to empower youth in my community. I look forward to opening brances in some other States in Nigeria.
